When the Lions Surround You, God Still Protects

Image
Have you ever felt like you’ve been thrown into a lions’ den? Maybe not with real lions like Daniel, but with lions of a different kind — lions of poverty, financial problems, witchcraft, spiritual attacks, betrayal, sickness, or discouragement. The truth is: life has lions. But there is also a God who shuts the lions’ mouths. --- Psalm 25: God Will Not Forsake You In Psalm 25:1–6, David lifts up his soul to the Lord, asking for protection and guidance. He prays, “O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.” This is a cry we can all relate to. When problems rise against us like hungry lions, we can either give in to fear — or trust God to fight for us. And the promise of this Psalm is clear: God will not abandon those who love Him. --- Daniel 6: God Shuts the Lions’ Mouths Daniel refused to stop praying to God, even when it meant breaking the king’s law. His enemies had him thrown into the lions’ den. By all human logic, Daniel shoul...

The Name Above All Names

Image
There is no power higher than the power of Jesus — in heaven, on earth, or under the earth. Philippians 2:10–11 reminds us: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth.” This is a powerful truth for every believer, and it has real-life implications.  The Three Realms That Bow The Bible describes three groups that will bow at the name of Jesus: Heaven: Every angel and heavenly being. Earth: Every person living in this world. Under the Earth: Even spiritual forces of darkness and the dead. Nothing and no one is outside Jesus’ authority. This includes witchcraft, occult practices, and any attempt to use dark powers. The Authority in Jesus’ Name Jesus gave His followers authority through His name: “In my name you will drive out demons; in my name you will heal the sick” (Luke 10:17–19). The enemy fears the name of Jesus — not you, but the authority in His name. That is why we must always use H...

Have you ever been disappointed by your spiritual leader?

Image
Maybe you faced injustices, betrayal, or pain at the hands of a bishop, pastor, or prophet — and it made you want to stop going to church, or even stop praying and worshiping God. But here’s the truth: that bishop is not your God. A decision to stop worshiping God because of man’s failure is never wise. 📖 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” — Psalm 118:8 📖 “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.” — Jeremiah 17:5 Many give their lives to the church instead of to God. They obey their bishop more than they obey God. They love their pastor more than they love the Lord. So when the bishop disappoints them, they walk away — not just from the church, but from God Himself. 📖 “We must obey God rather than men.” — Acts 5:29 You may leave an organization, you may leave a bishop, but never leave God. Build your relationship with Him directly, because He will never fail you.

Seeing the Goodness of God in the Land of the Living

Image
Psalm 27:13 says, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” This verse reminds us that God’s blessings are not just for eternity but also for our present lives. Even when life feels hopeless, God is faithful to show His goodness here and now. 1. Joseph – From the Pit to the Palace (Genesis 37, 39-41) Joseph faced betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment. Yet, God’s plan prevailed, and Joseph was elevated to the governor of Egypt, saving countless lives. His story teaches us that no matter how difficult our trials, God can turn hardship into purpose. 2. Hannah – From Tears to Triumph (1 Samuel 1:1-20) Hannah longed for a child and prayed earnestly to God. He answered her prayers with the birth of Samuel, who became one of Israel’s greatest prophets. Hannah’s faith shows us that God’s goodness can manifest even after seasons of waiting. 3. Job – Restored After Loss (Job 1-42) Job lost his wealth, family, and health, yet he remaine...

Bring Your Problem to Jesus: A Life-Changing Lesson from Mark 9

Image
Sometimes we try everything — friends, family, experts — and nothing works. That’s exactly what happened in Mark 9:14–29. A father brought his son to Jesus’ disciples. The boy was possessed by a spirit that made him deaf, mute, and violently convulsed. The disciples tried to help… but they couldn’t. So the father went to Jesus and pleaded: "If you can do anything, take pity on us and help us." Jesus answered: "‘If you can’? Everything is possible for one who believes." The father responded honestly: "Lord, I believe — help my unbelief!" --- Step 1: Don’t Be Disappointed When Others Can’t Help If you’ve tried going to people who thought they could help and they couldn’t — don’t give up. Go to Jesus. Bring your problems: Your health Your finances Your family Your relationships Some battles require spiritual intervention, and Jesus is the answer. Step 2: Expect Spiritual Warfare When the demon saw Jesus, it threw the boy into convulsions. Why? Bec...

All Things Work Together

Romans 8:28 reminds us: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” We are all created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). That means every person carries His design, His value, and His purpose. Because of this, I believe we are all called according to His purpose. The difference is whether we choose to walk in that calling by loving Him. When we do, even our struggles, delays, and challenges are not wasted. God weaves them into His plan for our good. Nothing is random. Nothing is lost. In His hands, all things work together for good. Let us trust Him, love Him, and walk in His purpose — because our lives are not accidents, they are part of His great design.

The Mystery of Marie Ostbo’: A Norwegian Student Who Vanished in South Africa

Image
In April 2018, a 21-year-old Norwegian student named Marie Sæter Østbø disappeared during a holiday in South Africa. She was traveling with a group of international students along the scenic Garden Route, staying in a backpacker lodge in Sedgefield, near Myoli Beach. What happened to her remains a mystery that continues to baffle the world. --- The Last Known Movements On the evening of April 18, 2018, Marie went for a walk along Myoli Beach. She was in good spirits, wearing casual clothes and sandals. But she never returned to the lodge. The next morning, her cellphone, hat, and shoes were found neatly on the beach. There were no signs of struggle—and no trace of Marie herself. Local authorities, including the police and the National Sea Rescue Institute, along with volunteers, launched extensive searches of the beach, ocean, and surrounding areas. Despite weeks of effort, no new leads emerged, leaving her family and friends in anguish. --- Possible Scenarios Marie’s disap...

Faith Speaks: Lessons from Jesus and the Fig Tree

Image
When Jesus saw the fig tree with no fruit, He spoke to it and said, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” The next day, the disciples were amazed—the tree had withered from the roots. Notice something powerful: Jesus didn’t pray to God about the fig tree. He spoke directly to it. This shows us how faith works—it must be spoken.  Three Reasons to Speak to Your Problem 1. Your Words Carry Power Proverbs 18:21 – “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Job 22:28 – “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you.” What you declare in faith has the power to shift situations. 2. Faith Must Be Released Through Speaking Mark 11:23 – “Whoever says to this mountain… he will have whatever he says.” 2 Corinthians 4:13 – “I believed, and therefore I spoke.”  Faith is not silent—what you believe must come out of your mouth. 3. Jesus Set the Example Matthew 17:20 – “You will say to this mountain, ‘Move,’ and it will move.” Romans 10:10 – “With the...

Why God Allows Delays (and What You Should Do While Waiting)

Image
Have you ever prayed for something, waited, and wondered if God was listening? Maybe it was a job, healing, a breakthrough, or even a promise that seemed so clear at first — but now feels delayed. Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of walking with God. But here’s the truth: a delay is not a denial. God’s timing is always perfect, even when we don’t understand it. Let’s look at why God sometimes allows delays and how we can respond with faith. 1. Delays Are Not Denials > “For the vision is yet for an appointed time… though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” — Habakkuk 2:3 God never forgets His promises. What feels like a delay to us is often God aligning everything at the right time. When Lazarus died, Jesus came “late” — but His delay brought a greater miracle (John 11). 2. God Uses Delays to Prepare Us Think of David: anointed as king but had to wait years before sitting on the throne. Why? Because God was shaping his character. Del...
