The Name Above All Names

There is no power higher than the power of Jesus — in heaven, on earth, or under the earth. Philippians 2:10–11 reminds us:

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth.”

This is a powerful truth for every believer, and it has real-life implications.

 The Three Realms That Bow

The Bible describes three groups that will bow at the name of Jesus:

Heaven: Every angel and heavenly being.

Earth: Every person living in this world.

Under the Earth: Even spiritual forces of darkness and the dead.

Nothing and no one is outside Jesus’ authority. This includes witchcraft, occult practices, and any attempt to use dark powers.

The Authority in Jesus’ Name

Jesus gave His followers authority through His name:

“In my name you will drive out demons; in my name you will heal the sick” (Luke 10:17–19).

The enemy fears the name of Jesus — not you, but the authority in His name. That is why we must always use His name in prayer, declaration, and daily life. Other names, no matter how powerful they seem, have no ultimate authority.

 Beware of False Prophets

Jesus warned that no one knows the exact hour of His return (Matthew 24:36). Anyone claiming to know the day or time is speaking falsely. As believers, we must test every teaching and every prophecy against Scripture (1 John 4:1).

 Walking in Jesus’ Footsteps

Whose footsteps are you following? Only Jesus leads to truth, power, and protection. Exalt His name above all else, live by His Word, and boldly speak His name.

 A Short Prayer

> “Lord Jesus, we confess You as Lord. Your name is above every name. We declare Your authority over our lives. Protect us, guide us, and give us boldness to use Your name always. Amen.”

Conclusion:

No ritual, dark power, or human-made name can stand against the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:10–11 reminds us that His authority is supreme. As believers, we must rely on His name every day, in every circumstance.

Let us exalt the name of Jesus today — for every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess: Jesus Christ is Lord!
