God Saves His People
There is a verse that deeply stirred my spirit today — “If the Lord had not been on our side…” (Psalm 124:1). I found a song of David that celebrates the faithfulness of God toward His people. David looks back at Israel’s history and says, “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us alive.” What a declaration! These words remind us that every victory, every deliverance, every moment of protection we have experienced is not because of our strength, wisdom, or luck — it’s because God was on our side. Without Him, our enemies, whether physical or spiritual, would have swallowed us whole. We would have been crushed by the pressures of life. But God stepped in, and His saving hand lifted us out of danger.
