When the Lions Surround You, God Still Protects

Have you ever felt like you’ve been thrown into a lions’ den? Maybe not with real lions like Daniel, but with lions of a different kind — lions of poverty, financial problems, witchcraft, spiritual attacks, betrayal, sickness, or discouragement.

The truth is: life has lions. But there is also a God who shuts the lions’ mouths.

Psalm 25: God Will Not Forsake You

In Psalm 25:1–6, David lifts up his soul to the Lord, asking for protection and guidance. He prays, “O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed; let not my enemies triumph over me.”

This is a cry we can all relate to. When problems rise against us like hungry lions, we can either give in to fear — or trust God to fight for us.

And the promise of this Psalm is clear: God will not abandon those who love Him.

Daniel 6: God Shuts the Lions’ Mouths

Daniel refused to stop praying to God, even when it meant breaking the king’s law. His enemies had him thrown into the lions’ den. By all human logic, Daniel should have been torn apart.

But the lions never touched him. Why? Because Daniel served the Living God, and that God sent an angel to shut the lions’ mouths.

What Are Your Lions?

Today, we may not face physical lions, but we face spiritual and practical ones:

🦁 Evil spirits that attack your peace.

🦁 Financial problems that roar loudly in your life.

🦁 Poverty that tries to devour your hope.

🦁 Witchcraft or jealousy working against you.

🦁 Family troubles, betrayal, sickness, or fear.

These are lions designed to frighten you, weaken you, or destroy your faith.

But God…

The same God who saved Daniel is still the same today. He will not forsake those who love Him.

He can close the mouths of every spiritual lion.

He can silence poverty and provide for you.

He can cancel the plans of witchcraft against your life.

He can turn your enemies’ weapons back on themselves.

Your part? Stay faithful, like Daniel. Keep praying, like David. Lift your soul to God, even when it feels hopeless.

The Lesson

The lions are real. The den is real. But the power of God is greater.

When you trust Him fully, you will come out of the den untouched, unharmed, and victorious. And the very problems that tried to consume you will be silenced forever.

So today, remember this: God does not forsake His children. The lions will not win.
