When the Fallen Rise Again — Resurrection Power in the House of God
When the Fallen Rise Again — Resurrection Power in the House of God
Scripture: Acts 20:9–12
Sometimes, even while we are in the presence of God — praying, worshipping, and hearing His Word — the enemy still tries to attack. But no matter how strong the attack may seem, the power of Jesus Christ is always greater. In Acts 20, a young man named Eutychus fell from a window and died. Yet through faith and the power of God, Paul raised him back to life. This is more than a story — it’s a message for us today.
Resurrection Power in the House of God
Praise the Lord! In this story, we see a young man who was raised from the dead. He was in the house of the Lord, listening to the Word of God. But when we look with spiritual eyes, we see that this was more than just a fall — it was an attack.
The Bible reminds us that “the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy” (John 10:10). The devil tried to steal, destroy, and kill — to bring down the name of Jesus even while the Word was being preached.
This teaches us that even inside the house of God, the enemy may still try to attack. You can be praying, serving, and standing in faith — and still face trials. But the good news is this: Jesus is more powerful than the devil!
When the young man fell, Paul went down, took him in his arms, and by the power of Jesus Christ, life returned to him. What the enemy meant for death became a testimony of life. Hallelujah!
Maybe You Feel Like That Young Man
Maybe you’ve fallen in life. Maybe your business, marriage, family, or dreams feel like they’ve died. Maybe you’re saying, “Lord, everything is falling apart.”
But hear this today — whatever is dead in your life can rise again in Jesus’ name!
The same Jesus who raised Jairus’s daughter…
The same Jesus who called Lazarus out of the tomb…
The same power is still alive today, in 2025!
When you trust in Him, what has fallen will rise again. What seems finished will live again.
Thank You, Jesus, for Your resurrection power!
“Do not be alarmed, for his life is in him.”
Acts 20:10 (ESV)
